Please read this important message about your insurance policy declarations.


At DFCU Financial, your protection matters to us. Maintaining active auto insurance is an important part of your loan, and we’re here to make that process as simple and stress-free as possible.

To that end, we've partnered with a trusted insurance tracking provider to help monitor required auto insurance coverage, and notify you if information is missing or coverage has lapsed. If insurance information is missing, incomplete, or expires, you’ll receive notifications in advance so you can take action right away.

Our goal is to keep you informed, protected, and avoid unnecessary costs by helping you stay up to date.

Providing Proof of Insurance

Sending us your insurance policy declaration is quick and easy. You can take any of the following steps:

  • Visit the link provided in your insurance reminder email or text.
  • Scan the QR Code in your insurance reminder letter.
  • Upload to https://www.myloaninsurance.com/dfcufinancial
  • Email: dfcufinancial@myloaninsurance.com. (Please note: this is an automated email account and only emails with file attachments in PDF, PNG, TIF, or JPG formats can be accepted.)

Insurance Requirements

Your policy MUST include:

  • Continuous insurance coverage with no lapses.
  • DFCU Financial named as lien holder or loss payee.
  • Comprehensive and collision coverage (or physical damage) with deductibles not greater than $1,500.

Please Note: an Insurance ID card is NOT adequate evidence of the required physical damage insurance.

If valid insurance is not on file, force-placed insurance may be added to your loan. This would result in an increase in your monthly payment until acceptable proof of insurance is received.

We encourage you to update your insurance information as soon as possible to avoid this added cost.


Important Notifications You May Receive

If action is needed, you may receive a letter, email or text message notifications. These messages are legitimate and part of our insurance monitoring process.

All notifications will include a secure link and instructions to MyLoanInsurance.com, an online portal identified with the DFCU logo, and where you can quickly review your situation, upload proof of insurance, get online chat support and access to a custom library of videos, designed to guide you through resolving it quickly.

By keeping your insurance information current, you help ensure uninterrupted coverage and peace of mind throughout the life of your loan.
