April is Financial Literacy Month

April Is Financial Literacy Month – But at DFCU Financial, It’s Always a Priority

At DFCU Financial, we believe that financial literacy is the key to financial freedom—and that knowledge should be available to everyone, not just in April, but every day of the year.

April marks National Financial Literacy Month, a time to highlight the importance of making informed financial decisions and developing smart money habits. But for us, financial literacy isn’t a campaign—it’s a commitment. We’re proud to champion financial education in our communities, schools, and member households year-round.

Empowering Our Communities with Banzai

A cornerstone of our approach to financial education is our partnership with Banzai, an award-winning financial literacy platform used by over 100,000 teachers nationwide. Through this partnership, DFCU Financial offers free, interactive online courses for all age groups—from middle school students to adults—empowering individuals to make smart financial decisions at every stage of life.

These Banzai courses cover real-life scenarios like budgeting, saving, handling debt, paying bills, and even preparing for major life events like buying a home or starting a business. And because they’re online and self-paced, they’re available when and where people need them most.

Through Banzai, we also provide local classroom sponsorships, giving teachers free access to financial literacy tools that align with state curriculum standards. It’s one way we invest in our youth and support educators in building a financially strong future generation.

More Than a Month

Our commitment doesn’t stop at digital education. At DFCU, we actively engage in:

  • Financial wellness workshops for members
  • One-on-one financial coaching in our branches
  • Youth savings programs that teach children and teens how to manage money early

We believe that every member—regardless of age or income—should feel confident in their financial journey. That’s why we’re here with tools, resources, and support to help you thrive, not just in April, but every step of the way.
